EASA STC for Beech 99/100 series with five-blade QFJ MT-Propeller MTV-27

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received EASA STC 10064889 for the Quiet Fan Jet composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFR210-58( ) on the Beech 99 and 100 series. The FAA STC is in progress.

MT-Propeller vice president Martin Albrecht says that the installation of the five-blade MTV-27 propellers on the B99/100 Series feature the following advantages:

- Take-Off improvement by 10%

- No propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle

- Lower ITTs during start-up for less engine wear

- Significant cabin noise [up to 10 dB(A)] and vibration reduction

- Unbeatable esthetic ramp appeal

- Comply with the strict German 2010 "Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“ noise regulations for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European countries.

Due to the smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the Beech 99/100 Series has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion and FODs.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD.

They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to seven-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.

The high performance, light weight and durable MT-Propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft. MT-Propellers can be developed for nearly every aircraft type from motor gliders to regional airliners.

Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircraft.

MT-Propeller is the holder of over 210 STCs worldwide and the OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European aircraft industry as well as 30% of the US aircraft industry. 20,000 propeller systems with more than 69,000 blades are in service.

130 million fleet hours have already been performed on MT-Propellers. The first MT-Propeller was shipped 35 years ago.

A factory certified network of 62 service centres, provides the best service and maintenance all over the world.
