Hawker Pacific Asia and Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Singapore Airshow last week to expand Hawker Pacific's operations across an extra 16,000 sqm (172,223 sq. ft) of land in the Seletar Aerospace Park. This will see Hawker Pacific's footprint there almost double from its current 9,400 sqm (101,000 sq. ft.).
Witnessing the ceremony at the Singapore Airshow 2018 were Alan Smith, CEO, Hawker Pacific and Ng Lang, CEO, JTC. Signatories included Louis Leong, vice president, Hawker Pacific Asia and, Glory Wee, director, aerospace, marine and urban solutions, JTC.
Hawker Pacific Singapore, has experienced substantial year on year growth in business aviation and MRO, and the local aerospace industry has seen an average of seven percent growth in value-add over the past 20 years.
Active in Singapore since the 1970s, Hawker Pacific upgraded its Seletar facility in 2012 to meet the growing demand of customers in the region. The Hawker Pacific services in Singapore include maintenance, repair and overall (MRO) retrofits, modifications and upgrades, and an environmentally friendly paint shop. The facility also offers a variety of support services including aircraft sales, aircraft management, FBO and aircraft handling services.
