Resource Group secures GCAA CAR 147 approval signalling intent to expand training offering in UAE

Resource Group’s Aviation Technical Training division is delighted to announce the award of UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) approval to perform aviation maintenance basic training and knowledge examinations.

Adding to their EASA Part-66 approval and rapidly growing portfolio of training related products, the GCAA, CAR 147 certification allows Resource Group to deliver courses for CAR 66 Cat A, B1 & B2 licences for both the fixed and rotary wing sectors. This significant development builds on the range of training programs already being successfully delivered to UAE clients under EASA approval that range from custom courseware, through to purpose-built and managed aviation training.

Resource Group Training Solution’s managing director, Ian Fitzpatrick comments “We have a declared commitment to expand our portfolio of training and related services into new regions and the investment we have made to achieve GCAA approval is a clear statement of intent to pursue this ambition. We have strong and enduring relationships in the UAE already through our other divisions and I am delighted to add the training business capability to our regional offering. Over the coming months we will be engaging with interested parties to discuss how we can firmly establish ourselves as a key contributor to skills development in the region.’’

“Attaining the GCAA approval is a signal to the market of Resource Group’s commitment to approaching business in the UAE the correct way, with solid foundations of quality and compliance. When coupled with a capability to deliver bespoke aviation recruitment and managed solutions to the region, the new technical training accreditation places the group in a unique position to address the growing need for high-quality aviation skills in the Emirates,” added Resource Group COO Jonathan Price.
