Down-Route, the company behind the unique expenses management and hotel booking platform, bespoke to the business aviation industry, has recruited private and commercial aviation development expert, Caroline Pennington, as sales director.

Pennington joins the executive leadership team of Down-Route at a key time in its expansion and will build the sales force and develop the extensive customer base of the ground breaking web portal and app. The newly created position continues the rapid growth the company has driven through 2017 which has seen recruitment into key roles as well as the opening of offices in the UK and Singapore .

Pennington has over 20 years' experience of working in the aviation industry with 10 years spent at a senior level in global corporations, most recently as director, business aviation market development at World Fuel Services (WFS). In addition to her time with WFS, Pennington has spent time in senior roles with Exxonmobil Aviation as well as positions with British Airways and SEE Europe Ltd.

Commenting on her new role she said, “Down-Route is at a very exciting stage of its development and I am looking forward to being part of a growing, successful and diverse team. To be instrumental at such an important time in the evolution of the company is a challenge I relish and I will be using my experience in the aviation industry to demonstrate the great things this technology can do for customers across the globe.”

Pennington will part of the Down-Route team meeting customers at Air Charter Expo on September 12th at Biggin Hill Airport and in October at NBAA in Las Vegas.
