Gama Aviation’s Hong Kong collaboration receives FAA Gulfstream and Bombardier Global maintenance approval

Gama Aviation Hutchison (Hong Kong), is pleased to announce FAA approval of a comprehensive Ops Spec for its maintenance partner, CASL at its Hong Kong International Airport base.

The Ops Spec (VZFY534Y) covers the Gulfstream G350/450, G500/G550 and G650/650ER types and the Bombardier Global BD-700 series, enabling Gama Aviation’s Hong Kong business to sell, under its general sales agreement with CASL, line and base maintenance (up to and including 3C/24 month inputs) to local and regionally based FAA registered clients.

Sergio Oliveira e Silva, general manager, Hong Kong said: “The addition by CASL of the FAA approvals allows us to sell an alternative maintenance destination to regionally based aircraft. The facilities at CASL are extremely high quality. Given their impressive safety and delivery track record in time critical commercial maintenance, we believe we have a compelling offer for both private owners and fleet managers.”

Mark Durcan, maintenance operations manager, Hong Kong said: “With CASL gaining the relevant FAA approvals, we will be seeking those from Cayman and Bermuda immediately. This will provide us with coverage of a significant number of the Hong Kong and regionally based fleet.”
