TruAtlantic secures ANAC approval for Learjet STCs

TruAtlantic Manufacturing, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, has announced that it has received approval from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in Brazil for two of its supplemental type certificates on Bombardier Learjet aircraft.

The approval covers the company's Bombardier Learjet 35/36 Thrust Reverser kit, (STC ST02635AT) and the Stang Fairing kit (STC ST02209AT-D) for the Bombardier Learjet 60.

“We are excited to be able to share these aircraft-enhancing products with Brazilian operators,” said TruAtlantic's vice president and general manager Ralph Kunz. “These supplemental type certificates can help ensure the longevity and performance of the aircraft.”

The Learjet Thrust Reverser Deactivation Kit allows operators the option of permanently deactivating the thrust reversers, which for a Learjet 35 or 36 series operator is the equivalent of a 138-pound reduction in aircraft empty weight thus lowering ongoing maintenance costs.

The Learjet model Stang Fairings STC is made of prepreg carbon/epoxy that virtually eliminates the cracking problems in the OEMs aluminum fairings, and the new fairings are less than half the weight of the original parts and the basic geometry of the assembly is unchanged.

TruAtlantic Manufacturing is an authorized Bombardier Learjet vendor.
