Moscow Zhukovsky Airport opens dedicated heliport

As part of the development of business aviation, a helicopter landing site has been opened on the territory of Zhukovsky International Airport. Starting from July 8, passengers arriving at Zhukovsky can use the air taxi service. The landing pad is capable of serving up to four flights per hour, taking a wide range of civilian helicopters up to and including the MI-8.

Commenting the event launching, general director of Zhukovsky International Airport operating company, Ramport Aero, Mr Tomas Vaišvila stated: "The opening of the helicopter pad is the first step in the formation of a full-service business aviation zone in Zhukovsky. The demand for such services is undisputed. Our clients have unique opportunities: just 30 minutes after landing at the airport you can find yourself in Moscow at a business meeting in the "Crocus-Expo" complex".

It is expected that the new service will be in high demand. Heliport services can be used by visitors to the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS, which is taking place on the territory of the M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute from 18 to 23 July.
