EASA STC for M7 Aerospace SA226 series with five-blade MT-Propeller MTV-27

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the EASA STC 10062183 for the Quiet Fan Jet composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFR235-55a on M7 Aerospace SA226-T, SA226-AT and SA-226-TC models with TPE331-3U-( ), TPE331-3UW-( ), TPE331-10UA-( ) or TPE331-( ) engines installed as per approved STCs which do not exceed 840 SHP and 2000 rpm.

MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer says, that the installation feature the following advantages:

- No engine modifications (no cam or beta tube change)

- Ground roll distance reduced by approx. 30 m (98 ft)

- Two engine and single engine climb performance slightly improved by up to 100 ft/min

- Cruise performance slightly improved by up to four kts

- Same weight of MT five-blade natural composite propeller compared to original three-blade metal propeller

- Cabin noise is reduced by three to five dB(A) depending on location

- Cooler ITTS during engine start up due to a shorter starting time of 1/3

Due to the smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the SA226 series has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation, and are repairable in case of an FOD.

They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to six-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.

The high performance, light weight and durable MT-Propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft. MT-Propellers can be developed for nearly every aircraft type from motor gliders to regional airliners.

Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircraft.

MT-Propeller is the holder of over 210 STCs worldwide and the OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European aircraft industry as well as 30% of the US aircraft industry. Over 18,000 propeller systems with more than 65,000 blades are in service.

130 million fleet hours have already been performed on MT-Propellers. The first MT-Propeller was shipped 35 years ago.

A factory certified network of 62 service centers, provides the best service and maintenance all over the world.
