NAMA and Global Helicopter Services team to offer EC225 support

Follow a period of consultation NAMA is pleased to announce its partnership with Global Helicopter Services GmbH (GHS). Recognising an opportunity to support the market, in particular lessors and owners, the duo of organisations will focus on utilising each other's strengths in order to deliver a total fleet support solution.

With immediate effect NAMA will provide total fleet provision of the partnership including, Part M Sub Part G services from its offices in Eastleigh and Aberdeen in the UK. GHS will offer full line and base maintenance capabilities from its facilities in Ahlen, Germany. Both organisations have made significant commitments and investments to deliver initially an EC 225 capability to the market.

Kenny Nicolson, sccountable manager of NAMA affirmed why his organisation had welcomed the opportunity to work with GHS. “GHS approached NAMA early in 2017 regarding supporting the EC 225 introduction. Our relationship has continued to flourish and develop with a vision of supporting each other's business' growth. Having our Part M approval for the EC 225 has always meant longer term the need to provide a credible Part 145 to support our customers. GHS has made significant investment in building their capability, specifically the purchase of one million euros worth of tooling. With NAMA providing our total fleet management services, and GHS providing effective maintenance solutions, our partnership can be utilised to quickly return the EC 225 service in Europe and beyond.”

Dominik Goldfuss CEO of GHS stated “GHS recognised, following work with NAMA, there were synergies in our strategic vision, in particular supporting global EC 225 operations. It was logical for GHS to form a partnership with NAMA to use its knowledge and experience of operating and maintaining the type, as we introduce it to the GHS operations. Beyond this, GHS believed we have built an EC 225 maintenance capability that is lacking in the present market. By offering our partnership to the market we believe others can gain operational benefit, in particular reduced turnaround times and costs reductions.”
