Avfuel sustains healthy international growth, fostering relationships old and new

Avfuel has started off a strong 2017 for international operations with extended partnerships of key locations, new branded locations, and the addition of international fuelling locations. Through an enhanced supply network, meaning more opportunities to serve flight operators, Avfuel has seen a 40 percent growth in intra-Europe fueling activity year over year.

Notably, Avfuel has extended its relationship with Air Service Basel (LFSB/ BSL), a major international fuelling hub for the Avfuel Network and European travel, through a renewed contract.

“We've enjoyed a successful partnership with Air Service Basel these past three years,” said Joel Hirst, Avfuel's vice president of sales, “and we're excited to continue working together to serve the needs of Europe's GA traffic around the tri-national border of Switzerland, France and Germany.”

The fuel supplier also boosted service for international operations this year with the addition of key coastal FBOs in the United States. On the west coast, Avfuel added the following branded locations: Castle & Cooke Aviation in Van Nuys, CA (VNY); Honolulu, HI (HNL); and Everett, WA (PAE); and ACI Jet in Orange County, CA (SNA). On the east coast, Avfuel added the following branded locations: Rider Jet Center in Hagerstown, MD (HGR), and FlightServ in Trenton, NJ (TTN). From these locations, international flight operators can take off or conclude their transatlantic or trans-pacific journey.

“It's been a phenomenal year thus far,” said Hirst. “We've struck key partnerships on both ends of the United States to better serve our international operators looking to fly to or from the United States. These premier FBOs are situated in prime markets for operators; they can now benefit from Avfuel's full lineup of solutions, including contract fuel and AVTRIP Points, at these locations.”

Along with its new branded FBOs, Avfuel Contract Fuel added 23 new international locations so far in 2017. Operators can fly in and fuel up at more than 3,000 Avfuel Contract Fuel locations across the globe for a competitive price on clean, dry fuel and to receive the benefits associated with the Avfuel Pro Card: no fees, no split transactions (fuel and non-fuel items on one invoice), and easy online account management and pricing.

“Quite simply, expanding our global footprint benefits both our operators and our network locations,” said Jonathan Boyle, Avfuel's vice president of contract fuel. “For our operators, it means access to a product they know and trust backed by the service they require at more legs of their trip, no matter where in the world they fly. For our fuelling locations, it's a stronger network at work for them; the stronger the network, the stronger the incentive for fuel operators to stay within it and land at their ramp.”
