European company Valcora launches new fuel business as it makes EBACE debut

The business aviation industry will meet a new aviation fuel service provider at this year's EBACE when Valcora (booth K57) makes its debut appearance during the industry's annual Geneva meeting. Daniel Coetzer, CEO and Valerie Bouthiaux, general manager are the brains behind the new offering. Between them they have more than 25 years of experience working in the aviation fuel sector. During EBACE, they will highlight how the company uses state-of-the-art technology to combine pricing transparency, tax expertise, a reliable fuel card and a 24/7 service to simplify fuel purchasing for business aviation customers.

Coetzer and Bouthiaux have made a significant investment in specifying and developing a fully automated quotation and ordering system. The custom-made software has been designed to eliminate errors on orders and invoices, as well as assist in the complex calculations related to fuel taxation, tax exemptions, VAT and MOT issues. The bespoke technology will also significantly improve the customer experience when it comes to the fiscal elements of fuel transactions.

“We have a great system which we developed ourselves by using our knowledge of what the market needs in terms of fuel purchasing,” says Coetzer. “We have used the latest technology to deliver an extremely user friendly interface which, in three simple steps, enables customers to order fuel. It gives our customers the confidence that they are buying fuel in the most cost-efficient way possible and helps them comply with the fiscal rules and regulations.” The competitive pricing and functionality is complemented by a customer service offering, which provides a single, dedicated account manager for each client.

“The customer and supplier experience is at the heart of what we do,” states Coetzer, who adds that to avoid delays in refuelling, the Valcora management team has also drawn, on its experience, to create an extensive network with multiple fuel suppliers at airports where the Valcora fuel card is accepted.

Valcora is also one of the few real European aviation fuel resellers with offices in Dublin and headquarters in Geneva. The central location is important for Valcora's ongoing development as it aims to develop the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. The company already boasts a portfolio of European customers, ranging from private owners through to large commercial operators. “There is genuine interest from the market which appreciates the combination of transparency and customer support. Suppliers also recognise that Valcora can deliver high volumes and we are pleased to say that several leading European fuel suppliers have signed agreements with us,” adds Coetzer.

Valcora is run by a home-based team of five experts and incorporates an extensive network of airports, international fuel suppliers and partners. Coetzer says the plan is for continued expansion across the board. “We are born and bred European and know that with dedication and hard work, we will win new customers, increase our fuel supply network and aim to be a clear leader in the field with in the next few years.”
