World Fuel Services announced today the expansion of international trip support resources in Asia. Its 24/7 Shanghai office is expanding to meet the growing demand of operators traveling to and from the Asia-Pacific region. This investment in China, along with recently-added coverage in Toluca, Mexico and Johannesburg, South Africa, further reflects WFS' global service strategy.

“These investments are part of our two step strategy to provide local resources and leading mobile self-service technology to ensure smooth international operations for our global customers,” said Jeff Briand, World Fuel Services' vice president, global operations. “Our regional offices are staffed with local experts who provide rapid resolution of any issues that may arise with our customers' operations around the globe. In addition to the Shanghai, Johannesburg, and Toluca regional trip support offices, World Fuel Services operates local offices in Calgary, Geneva, Singapore and São Paulo. All offices are staffed with local experts who have a great understanding of the uniqueness of their local market and are fluent in local languages, allowing for their ability to directly mitigate problems and anticipate and react to regulatory changes.
