Venezuelan letter of acceptance for installation of five-bladed MTV-27 propeller on M7 Aerospace models SA226/SA227

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the Venezuelan letter of acceptance for the FAA STC SA03893AT for the installation of the five-bladed scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFRL250-103 on M7 Aerospace SA226/SA227 models.

This installation is furthermore supplemental type certified by EASA STC No. 10015216, TCCA Canada letter of acceptance to the EASA STC and SCT Mexico validation No. IA-237/2013.

According to MT-Propeller vice president Martin Albrecht the installation features the following advantages:

- No engine modifications (no cam or beta tube change)

- Ground roll distance reduced by approx. 50 m (165 ft)

- Take-off distance over 50 ft obstacle reduced by approx. 80 m (260 ft)

- Two engine and single engine climb performance slightly improved by up to 80 ft/min

- Cruise performance slightly improved by up to two kts

- Approx. 65 lbs less weight than the orig. metal propeller

- Aircraft noise level is about five dB(A) less than with the original metal propellers

- Cabin noise is reduced by three to four dB(A) depending on location

- Cooler ITTs during engine start up due to a shorter starting time of 1/3

Due to its smaller diameter the MT propeller for the M7 Aerospace SA226/SA227 models has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion.

The MT propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation, and are repairable in case of an FOD.

They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to six-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.

The high performance, light weight and durable MT-Propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft. MT-Propellers can be developed for nearly every aircraft type from motor gliders to regional airliners.

Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircraft.

MT-Propeller is the holder of over 210 STCs worldwide and the OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European aircraft industry as well as 30% of the US aircraft industry. Over 18,000 propeller systems with more than 65,000 blades are in service.

130 million fleet hours have already been performed on MT-Propellers. The first MT-Propeller was shipped 35 years ago.

A factory certified network of 62 service centers, provides the best service and maintenance all over the world.
