'Wings of Business', Russia's national award for the highest achievements in business aviation, took place at the Moscow City Golf Club on February 17, 2017. The leading market players, representatives of business and Russia's government authorities, emphasized the great importance of the event and high level of organization of the awards ceremony noting that the "Wings of Business" claims to be the event of the year in the Russian business aviation market.

The 'Wings of Business' was awarded in 13 categories for the achievements and outstanding projects performed by the nominees in 2016. The award winners are:

- RusJet Aircompany in the category Business aviation airline (Russia)

- Jet Story in the category Foreign business aviation airline

- Luxaviation in the category Aircraft management

- Vnukovo-3/ FBO VIPPORT in the category Business aviation infrastructure (FBO)

- Sukhoi Civil Aircraft in the category Aircraft manufacturer

- ABS Jets in the category Maintenance company

- CCAS RusAero in the category Flight support company

- Your Charter in the category Broker company

- BizavNews in the category Media & Advertising in business aviation

- Sky Food Vnukovo in the category Service company

- Jet Friends Club in the category Project of the year in business aviation

- Streamline in the category The Legendary company

- Igor Mudrik in the category The Legendary person

The winners were determined by a two-step voting process; online voting at the awards website www.wingsaward.ru/en and personal voting by the RUBAA board and members. In total, over 60 companies from nine countries applied for Russia's prestigious award.

Mikhail Titov, RUBAA vice-president and the mastermind of the 'Wings of Business' Award said: “The idea of the 'Wings of Business' award has a reason behind it. The Russian business aviation industry is relevantly young, having been in existence for 25 years. But within this period we have gone a solid way. Now it's the time to chronicle our success and be proud of our achievements. We have put in a lot of effort to make the award happen and I was very glad to see what a rush it created in the industry. I hope that next year we will see more participants in all nominations, both Russian and foreign.”

The masters of the awarding ceremony were Russia's crowd-pullers Oxana Fedorova and Dmitry Kharatyan who demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the business aviation market. The official awarding ceremony came with a fantastic show: a faery laser show, fireworks and a sand drawing under the touching words of a little girl who loves airplanes. The final of the evening was highlighted by a concert of Valery Syutkin, the major aviator of the Russian stage.

The founder of the Wings of Business award is the Russian United Business Aviation Association (RUBAA). The general sponsor of the awards is Rietumu Banka. The official sponsor is Satcom Direct. The producer of the awards ceremony is Bizav Systems Ltd. headed by Mikhail Titov.
