SEA Prime unveils new hangars and development of maintenance services

As part its development program, SEA Prime, managing the FBO in Milano Linate Prime and soon operating in Milano Malpensa, in parallel with major investments in infrastructure and the development of exclusive and high level services during 2016, is now ready to boost a new growth driver: the development of maintenance services.

Having almost completed construction work on the tenth hangar of over 3,600 square meters, which is capable of accommodating all the latest generation of business aviation aircraft, SEA Prime is now working on agreements with leading manufacturers of aircraft and helicopters.

Chiara Dorigotti, general manager of SEA Prime, said: "From the beginning of the development of our industrial plan to relaunch and expand the FBO in Milano Linate Prime, we have always believed that, in the development of exclusive services that meet the needs of passengers and clients, it was very strategic to also offer maintenance services. This is why we are pursuing a very constructive dialogue with leading manufacturers of aircraft and helicopters, integrating and improving the existing offer. In Milano Linate Prime we have closed 2016 with about 21,000 movements and a meaningful increase in the aircraft size. Already significant numbers, which could rise further with the construction of the new hangars already planned, as well as with the extension of our activities with a new FBO in Milano Malpensa."

SEA Prime’s strategy responds to the industry trend that sees manufacturers at the forefront in the provision of maintenance services, also due to an increasing complexity that characterizes this activity, given the rapid evolution of the technologies used in the production of aircraft.
