Asian Sky Group releases Asian Sky Quarterly, 2016 Q4

Acclaimed for its publications within the aviation industry, Hong Kong-based business aviation company Asian Sky Group (ASG) has announced the release of another installment of Asian Sky Quarterly.

The fifth installment of the quarterly report focuses on Q4 of 2016 and delivers updated information on the business jet and civil helicopter markets throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This edition will include a profile on the Taiwan aviation market, along with insight and knowledge from industry members in the country. Taiwan-based company Top Speed is also featured, discussing the company's latest purchase of a business jet. Insider interviews are included with ASG's latest addition, vice president, southeast Asia Neil Marshall, as well as Sikorsky regional director, Asia Christophe Nurit.

As with every edition, Asian Sky Quarterly supplies information on market intelligence and trends, Asia-specific and country-specific macroeconomic indicators, data on market mood, as well as the availability and sales prices for specific pre-owned aircraft types.

Highlights of the report include:

- An in-depth look at the Taiwan business jet and civil helicopter fleets, as well as infrastructure availability including FBOs, MROs and hangars.

- The value of the worldwide pre-owned business jet inventory for sale, showing an increase of 30%, from 6.1B to 7.9B USD (in the last 24 months), making it a 'buyer's market'.

- The value of the worldwide pre-owned civil helicopter inventory for sale, showing an increase of 80%, from 648M to 1.151B USD (in the last 24 months), reflective of the downturn in the oil and gas market, making it a 'buyer's market'.

- A closer look at the Asia-Pacific region's inventory of business jets and civil helicopters.

- A 2016 Q4 Market Survey on the current economic mood, aircraft utilization, management company satisfaction, aircraft charter, purchase intentions, and influencing factors of a purchase decision, showcasing the most optimistic quarter since 2015 Q4, with the highest number of responses since the survey's beginnings.

- An analysis of the pre-owned Sikorsky S-76C++ market, which remains relatively inactive, with the average days spent on the market (as of November 2016) being 321 days, up from 274 days the previous year.

- A summary of the most popular business jet and civil helicopter models, providing average asking price and number of aircraft for sale.

“The final report for the 2016 year provides all the information the industry has come to expect, as well as a few new additions.” says ASG managing director, Jeffrey Lowe. “As always, ASG hopes to provide necessary and beneficial information for those looking to further understand the market conditions.”

Asian Sky Quarterly will be distributed in the Asia-Pacific region with a Chinese version made available in China. For copies of all of ASG's reports, please visit www.asianskygroup.com/media-reports.
