Universal Avionics announces 2016 top dealers

Universal Avionics is pleased to announce its top dealers of 2016 to be Field Aviation for North and South America (Americas) and Heli-One Norway for International Dealer of the Year.

Each year, Universal Avionics recognizes two dealers out of several hundred in its authorized dealer network who have achieved outstanding sales performance for the year. Both companies' expertise and commitment to pursuing Universal Avionics upgrades were instrumental in their successful performance this year.

“We are very grateful for our strong authorized dealer network,” said Robert Clare, Universal Avionics director of sales. “Field Aviation's dedication to pursuing programs like the Dash 8/Q Series turnkey display package, and the cockpit modernization programs for the U.S. Army Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E) and U.S. Army Golden Knights really set them apart,” he added. “Meanwhile, the success of key special mission programs like the S-61, S-76 and AS332L/L1 were undoubtedly large contributors to Heli-One Norway's achievement. Both authorized dealers are leading the charge in these important and emerging markets for Universal Avionics.”

“Field Aviation is proud to be recognized as Americas Dealer of the Year for 2016 by Universal Avionics”, said Robert Baseggio, vice president of business development at Field Aviation. “This is our fifth such award from Universal Avionics, and is evidence of Field Aviation's extensive customer base, the strong relationship that we have developed with Universal Avionics over the years, and the quality of our combined products and services.”

"We are proud and honoured to receive this recognition. The design team at Heli-One Norway, led by Tor Baustad, has done exceptional work. The solutions they developed teaming with Universal Avionics empower customers with choice and allow them to truly customize modifications based on their operational needs. These new systems and technology allow our customers to rejuvenate older aircraft with new advancements, which reduces operating costs and adds value to the fleet," said Eddie Lane, GM European operations, Heli-One.

"Our recent modernisation projects have utilized Universal Avionics' EFI-890H EFIS system and UNS-1 Flight Management System. They were selected by Heli-One and our customers based on a thorough evaluation process of various avionics systems and OEMs. The systems are ideal for helicopter retrofit programs and the fact that they are developed for specific rotor wing parameters is an important factor," said Tor Baustad, design head, Heli-One Norway.
