Rockwell Collins to showcase latest enhancements to ARINCDirect portfolio, market-leading cabin systems at MEBAA 2016

Rockwell Collins will be showcasing its latest portfolio of ARINCDirect flight information solutions and market-leading cabin systems on stand #421 at the 2016 Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) annual convention and exhibition in Dubai.

The company’s experts will be on hand to highlight and discuss business aviation solutions that enhance flight operations and improve passenger satisfaction. Featured solutions include:

Global high-speed cabin connectivity

- Rockwell Collins is a service provider of the Jet ConneX (JX) global high-speed connectivity solution and was the first service provider selected for a new-production business aircraft.

- Earlier this year, Zetta Jet accepted delivery of a Bombardier Global 6000 equipped with JX serviced by Rockwell Collins’ ARINCDirect.

- With JX, passengers can meet their business and entertainment needs by bringing their office into the sky, streaming videos and using social media to make their time onboard productive and enjoyable.

Smart routers to better manage voice and data

- New smart routers from Rockwell Collins are helping business jet operators better manage the use of voice and data onboard aircraft.

- Recently, the company introduced its Airborne Data Router (ADR) for enhanced connectivity by teaming with TrueNorth Avionics.

- The ADR enables flight departments and crews to access ARINCDirect service offerings like call and text, media content, international trip planning and weather services. The ADR also has a flexible design so it can be used with any service provider.

Best-in-class flight support services

- Rockwell Collins continues to invest and innovate its ARINCDirect portfolio of flight support services.

- At MEBAA, Rockwell Collins is announcing the integration of regional sand and dust storm forecast information into its ARINCDirect flight planning tools, which are forecasts specifically designed for Middle East, southern Europe and north African operators.

- The ARINCDirect FOS scheduling and dispatch software is undergoing a total rebuild of the app that focuses on usability and will be on display at MEBAA.

Market-leading high-definition (HD) cabin systems

- Rockwell Collins’ high-definition (HD) Venue cabin management and entertainment system is the most popular in the business aviation market and the company recently surpassed 950 installations of the system.

- Venue continues to gain popularity in the large VIP aircraft market due to its flexible design for a large number of passengers and future technologies.

- Rockwell Collins’ new Stage™ Content Service will be on display, which is an onboard media streaming solution for personal devices that provides a broad selection of entertainment and information for passengers.

Solutions for ADS-B Out compliance

- By the end of 2019, aircraft operating in U.S. airspace will need to be equipped for Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out operations, with Europe to follow six months later. Other regions throughout the world will likely follow in the future.

- Rockwell Collins has ADS-B Out solutions for all of its legacy aircraft with Pro Line II, Pro Line 4 and Pro Line 21 avionics.

- Rockwell Collins’ ADS-B Out solutions for its avionics provide opportunities beyond the mandate for precision navigation that third party solutions will not.
