Air Charter Expo wins new industry support

For the annual business aviation event formerly known as BGAD, the first year under the new branding as Air Charter Expo has proved that the concept of bringing together the role of the air charter broker with business aircraft owners and operators is a successful formula.

More than 700 visitors attended the one-day expo staged in the 55,000 sq ft terminal hangar at London Biggin Hill Airport. 50 exhibitors filled the exhibition area with trade stands in a new and improved layout. Aircraft on display that were new to the event included Bombardier's Global 5000, Embraer's Legacy 500, the Pilatus PC12 and Cessna Citation M2. The rotary wing line-up included the Leonardo AW139, Eurocopter AS355 Squirrel and Bell 407GXP.

At the show resident operator Zenith Aviation also announced the addition of two new Learjet 75 aircraft to their charter fleet

“We are delighted to be working with Bombardier and welcoming the Learjet into our fleet; the Learjet brand is synonomous with our facility at London Biggin Hill” said Stuart Mulholland, Zenith's managing director.

A series of technical briefings were introduced by Adams Aviation Supply Company, an initiative that was well received by visitors.

Robert Walters, business development director at Biggin Hill said that the event exemplified the benefits and values of combining in a one-day event aircraft owners and operators with charter brokers and their clients.

“ACE16 brought a highly representative cross-section of the business aviation industry together with the specialist charter market and we are grateful to Mark Ranger and his EBAN team for their organisation” he said.
