Tamarack active winglets given 100% value by Vref

The aircraft valuation guide Vref has valued Tamarack Aerospace's active winglets at 100% of their purchase price for the Cessna series CJ, CJ1, CJ1+ and M2 aircraft.

Tamarack's active winglets are unique as they do not require structural reinforcement and include a wing extension making them three to four times more efficient than other winglet types. Tamarack has demonstrated a reduction in fuel burn of over 25% during hundreds of hours of flight-testing with a Cessna Citation CJ fitted with active winglets.

COO Brian Cox stated ‘We are extremely happy with the Vref valuation of our winglet modification. This is great news for owner operators who can genuinely view active winglets an investment for which they will see immediate returns on every flight, with the significant reduction in fuel burn. Longer term, with the increased range provided by the winglets, a reduction in airframe and engine cycles will reduce maintenance costs too, and should they decide to sell the aircraft still receive 100% of their investment back.’

Tamarack Aerospace has STCs approved by EASA for CJ, CJ1, CJ1+ and M2 aircraft. FAA approval is expected towards the end of 2016.
