Flight Consulting Group signs number of key contracts during EBACE

In May this year, Geneva hosted EBACE, a business aviation exhibition that Flight Consulting Group has been participating in since 2002. It was the fourth time that it presented its own stand at this event, the largest of its kind in Europe.

Announcing a forthcoming project in advance, the construction of FBO Riga, a business aviation center that is a part of Flight Consulting Group, the company displayed a model of the center in progress in 2015 on its stand. Later, in August, participants of the IV Baltic Business Aviation Forum could become familiar with the facility under construction. FBO Riga was inaugurated as early as in September.

Even though less than a year has passed since the opening, FBO Riga business aviation center has already won recognition in the market and been highly appreciated by customers and experts: in April this year, the center was declared the best FBO in Europe and awarded a Sapphire Pegasus accolade in the Handler/Service Provider/FBO category.

Its business success was acknowledged in Geneva, where the holding's management signed two 12-month contracts during the exhibition for basing heavy and super midsize business aviation aircraft. Under these contracts, customers will be provided with the entire range of FBO services, including maintenance.

In addition, FCG OPS was awarded contracts for the complete flight support of three business aviation aircraft. Launched in 2000, FCG OPS has been continuously developing and improving the quality of service offerings. Since its implementation in February 2015, the company has been using a proprietary updated IT system called FCG АТОМ (Air Traffic Operation Management), which brings together systems such as ERP, CRM, flight management, reporting, and business analytics.

Besides, two major business aviation operators that operate more than 30 and 60 aircraft, respectively, use FCG OPS as a service provider of choice for servicing flights with destinations in Kazakhstan.

Roman Starkov and Leonid Gorodnitskii, owners of Flight Consulting Group, are happy with the outcomes of EBACE 2016: "We are happy with the outcomes of our participation in the exhibition as the event has paid back in full. No doubt, the principal achievement was that we showed a model of our new business aviation center, FBO Riga, last year, and we have a finished and operating facility that is in high demand among customers this year.

"The exhibition has always been a huge and joyful event, an occasion to see our partners, friends, and peers. But above all, this is a business event, so this year EBACE has become a venue where we held successful meetings and reached important arrangements. Given the current market conditions, European operators are striving to reduce the financial burden of expanding the workforce of airline units, and we sense an increased interest in our outsourced control services (FCG OPS). I am confident this decision is beneficial for airlines, and we will continue improving and developing this area of our operations."
