Honeywell marks 40 years of aircraft maintenance services that reduce downtime and costs

Honeywell is celebrating 40 years of providing maintenance service plans for airplane operators and owners of business jets. As one of the world's leading manufacturers of engines and auxiliary power units, Honeywell has designed a program implemented by industry specialists based in more than 180 service centers across 30 countries worldwide.

In 1976, the company's first Maintenance Service Plan (MSP) was developed for operators of Honeywell-powered business and executive aircraft as a cost- and time-saving approach to engine maintenance. Through the years, MSP has expanded to include coverage for auxiliary power units (APUs) and supports on average 75 percent of business aviation airplanes equipped with Honeywell engines or APUs today.

“Honeywell's MSP remains the most comprehensive support program offered anywhere in the world today,” said Frank Muscolino, senior sales director at Honeywell Aerospace. “With our expertise across the globe, we support operators by providing them with flexibility and peace of mind when it comes to planning the future maintenance needs of their aircraft.”

For the past 40 years, Honeywell's MSP has provided coverage for more than 80 platforms, serving customers in more than 100 countries globally. By enrolling in MSP, business aviation owners can maximize their aircraft investment with the support of Honeywell's expert engineers, while eliminating the financial risk of unscheduled maintenance and fixing the cost of major engine inspections. In turn, this allows airplane operators to keep fleets flying longer and eases the pressure of financial planning.

Honeywell will be showcasing its MSP offering and more at EBACE 2016, May 24 – 26 in Geneva, Switzerland. For more information, please visit Honeywell at booth U123 in Hall 6.
