Jet Aviation Singapore forges ahead with refurbishments, modifications and upgrades

Jet Aviation Singapore continues to see demand in the region for its efurbishment, modification and upgrade (RMU) services and capabilities. The company is currently on its fourth major refurbishment and has performed modifications and upgrades on numerous aircraft.

Since receiving FAA approval for its interior shop in April 2015, Jet Aviation Singapore has initiated its fourth major refurbishment, another Bombardier Global Express, and already undertaken repairs and rejuvenation work on several China B-registered aircraft that were at the facility for maintenance. Its first interior refurbishment on a Global Express was delivered in December 2015, including interior veneer, headliner, sidewalls and galley refurbishment, as well as the region's first full exterior strip and repaint on this type of aircraft. Other full refurbishments were carried out on a Challenger 605 Gulfstream and GIV aircraft.

The interior shop at Jet Aviation Singapore is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment for upholstery, wood and veneer finishing and carpeting. Coupled with a new 60 square meter eco-friendly spray-painting and buffing shop, the new production environment is designed to support the highest quality and service standards for interior aircraft refurbishment. The company also collaborates with Hawker Pacific to offer a full repaint and interior package on aircraft up to the size of the Gulfstream 650 and the Bombardier Global series.

“We are delighted to see the market embrace our expertise and high workmanship standards,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “The quality of Jet Aviation's interior work stands apart in the industry across all our sites. The approved processes that we use have been refined through years of experience and expertise in VVIP completions. We bring that quality to refurbishments and pride ourselves in having the ability to make our customers' aircraft feel new again.”

In addition to the FAA approval, Jet Aviation Singapore secured maintenance approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in September 2015, permitting the company to support Chinese operators of Bombardier and Gulfstream aircraft. At the inaugural Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) 2015 Gala Awards held in Hong Kong that November, Jet Aviation Singapore was named the Best Operational Support Services Company. Established at Seletar Airport as an authorized service center (ASC) for Gulfstream aircraft in 1996, the company celebrated its 20th jubilee of exceptional service delivery in February at Singapore Airshow 2016.
