Long-established resident at Lee-on-Solent airfield in Hampshire, Atlas Helicopters Ltd is relocating to Lasham airfield.

Mike Burns, managing director for Atlas Helicopters commented: "After 14 years of commercial activities at Lee-on-Solent airfield, Atlas Helicopters has decided to relocate its entire operation to Lasham airfield in Hampshire, effective the 2nd March 2016. "The dynamics of the business have changed over recent years and, when the opportunity arose to relocate, it was decided this would be best for the business moving forward. Considerable developments are taking place at Lee-on-Solent airfield under the new ownership of Fareham Borough Council. However, the future plans for the airfield did not meet our future growth expectations and therefore the timing of the opportunity to move to Lasham was ideal.

"We will be very sorry to leave, however we look forward very much to starting afresh and furthering our relationships with our friends and colleagues within the industry."
