Universal Aviation adds people and locations in Thailand and Hong Kong

Universal Aviation, the ground support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. (exhibit #C10429), has announced that it has expanded its presence in the growing Asia market with the opening of Universal Aviation Thailand, the addition of concierge agents for Hong Kong, and Universal Aviation Philippines now being fully operational.

Universal Aviation Thailand is based in Bangkok at Don Mueang Airport (VTBD), with its own agents stationed in Phuket and will provide supervisory ground handling services throughout all of Thailand. In Hong Kong, dedicated concierge-level Universal Aviation agents will be available to greet clients on the ground and leverage their strong relationships with airport authorities and third-party providers to successfully manage issues that may occur on the ground, as well as facilitate any last-minute requests.

“Thailand, the Philippines, and Hong Kong fit our expansion model of adding locations and/or dedicated concierge-level agents at high-traffic, and potentially high-stress and challenging, destinations where our clients have requested our presence. It's our people and processes that truly make the difference in providing a ground handling experience to our customers that exceeds their expectations,” explained Charlie Mularski, vice president, APAC, Universal.

Universal Aviation Thailand opened in October this year following Universal Aviation Philippines, which was first announced at ABACE2015 and is now fully operational. Universal Aviation Philippines has an FBO at Manila International Airport (RPLL) and facilities at Clark International Airport and Cebu International Airport, in addition to providing supervisory ground support all across the country.

“We are very proud that after the addition of our locations in the Philippines and Thailand, we now have Universal Aviation locations in eight Asia-Pacific countries, including Japan, Khabarovsk in eastern Russia, Australia, India, China, and Singapore,” said Mularski.

Mularski highlighted additional service-level enhancements at existing Universal Aviation locations across Asia-Pacific, including

- Universal Aviation Australia: The complete renovation of the FBO in Sydney (YSSY), including a remodeled vip departure lounge, hangar, board room, meeting rooms, and operations office.

- Universal Aviation Japan: The addition of hangarage options at Haneda Airport (RJTT) for clients.

At NBAA2015 members of the Universal Aviation team will be available to answer mission- specific questions at exhibit #C10429.
