London Oxford Airport offers free shuttle services to city's new rail station for all arriving business jet passengers and crew

London Oxford Airport is offering arriving business jet passengers and crew complimentary shuttle services to and from the new Oxford Parkway Station, which formally opened today.

Oxford Parkway, located just five minutes' away from the airport, offers high speed services to Marylebone Station, delivering passengers to the heart of the city in just under one hour. The one way train journey is from £6.00 and the trains run every 30 minutes, shaving 15 minutes off the previous journey time.

Oxford Parkway is the first railway station to be built in Oxford for nearly 100 years. This new service offers more choice for airport customers particularly for busy business executives needing to reach the city with ease and efficiency. Only the helicopter is quicker – at 22 minutes direct to The London Heliport in Battersea.

“The thoroughly modern transport hub at Oxford Parkway with its new highly convenient rail link to London offers yet more choice for our London bound customers and we are delighted to support the connection with free shuttle services on request,” said London Oxford Airport managing director Andi Alexander. “We expect many of our executive customers will take advantage of it, making London Oxford an even better choice for those wanting to avoid the congestion of the busier airports around the capital.”

This new rail link comes as London Oxford Airport reports a continued increase in business aviation traffic during 2015, bolstered by regular activity from established operators such as Air Hamburg, NetJets and Bombardier Challenger specialist VistaJet.

London Oxford Airport's Oxfordjet business aviation facility can handle aircraft from the smallest of compact private jets to Gulfstream, Global Express and larger passenger airliners of 100-plus seats including the Embraer E190.
