Dassault to feature Falcon 2000LXS/Falcon 2000S and Falcon 7X at LABACE

Dassault will feature the top-of-the-line Falcon 7X and the new Falcon 2000LXS/Falcon 2000S twinjet at the Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE) which will be held at Congonhas Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil from August 11-13.

“The long-range Falcon 7X is the most popular large cabin business jet in Brazil, with 15 units sold,” said John Rosanvallon, president and ceo of Dassault Falcon Jet. “We've also seen very strong demand for the Falcon 8X in Brazil since we first announced the program just over one year ago with three of the first 20 aircraft scheduled to be delivered in here. That's given Dassault a great deal of confidence in the future of the Brazilian market.” Brazil remains one of the largest markets for the Falcon 7X which can connect Sao Paulo with Los Angeles or Paris while the Falcon 8X will reach Seattle or Moscow.

Additionally, the Falcon 2000 family remains a category leader in Brazil with more than 20 aircraft in operation. The performance of the Falcon 2000 is especially appreciated in Brazil and South America where short airfields, elevated runways and high temperatures are common.

Dassault Aircraft Services-Sorocaba Key to Success in Brazil

Dassault Aircraft Services-Sorocaba recently completed a major expansion to better accommodate the demands of Brazilian and other South American customers. The expansion added 10,000 square feet of hangar space.

The company owned Sorocaba Service Center is authorized to perform line maintenance and airframe inspections on all Falcon models except the legacy Falcon 20 and Falcon 100. In addition, the facility is qualified to provide engine maintenance on the CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731 series engines and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A and PW308C models. Specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) services, such as penetrant and eddy current testing can also be performed. A full service battery shop is available to repair, replace or recharge main and emergency batteries on Falcon and other aircraft models.

Following the opening of the Sorocaba Service Center in June 2009, Dassault Falcon Jet has continued to expand the facility with increased manpower, spare parts and tooling.

Sorocaba can dispatch an AOG team to support Falcon aircraft anywhere in South America, along with the parts and tools necessary to get the aircraft flying again with minimal delay. Dassault Falcon Jet houses over $ 4.7 million (U.S.) worth of high- usage parts in its São Paulo facility.

Falcon Business Jets and the Brazil Market

Featuring advanced systems derived largely from military aircraft and an ultra-quiet, roomy interior that allows passengers to arrive fresh and relaxed after a 13 hour flight, the 5,950 nm (11,020 km) 7X offers exceptional operating economy and versatility, including the ability to serve airfields that are typically inaccessible to large jets. These features help explain why the 7X is the fastest selling Falcon ever. More than 250 units have left the assembly line since the model was certified in 2007.

The new Falcon 8X and very large body Falcon 5X are expected to follow in the 7X's footsteps. Derived from the 7X, the 6,450 nm/11,945 km Falcon 8X made its first flight on February 6 and is due to begin deliveries in the second half of 2016. It will feature the longest Falcon cabin and the lowest ownership and operating costs in its class while offering the same advanced flight deck technology and operating flexibility as the 7X.

The all-new Falcon 5X will offer the largest cabin cross-section in business aviation and lower ownership and operating costs than any other big jet. Rollout of this ground breaking aircraft occurred in early June and the first flight is expected in the coming months.

The 3,350 nm/6,205 km 2000S is the new entry level jet in the Falcon family. Equipped with a full slate of standard features, including upgraded EASy II avionics, FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system and a brand new cabin design, it brings large cabin comfort to the super mid-size segment.

The 4,000 nm/7,410 km Falcon 2000LXS combines the short field performance of the 2000S with the longer range capabilities of the 2000LX. Featuring the same inboard slats and winglets as the 2000S model, the aircraft has a balanced field length of 4,675 ft/1,425 m (SL, ISA) at 42,800 lb of MTOW, and can access more airports than any other aircraft in its category.

The Falcon line is rounded out by the long range Falcon 900LX trijet. Equipped with Honeywell TFE731-60 engines and a state-of-the art EASy II flight deck, the 900LX offers 7% more range than the Falcon 900EX EASy, which it replaced in 2010.

Dassault will be located at Chalet 5109 at LABACE.
