StandardAero Netherlands facilities receive European Union approval for Authorized Economic Operator status to accelerate logistics and reduce shipping and import duties

StandardAero's European Service Center (ESC), located in Tilburg, Netherlands, has completed another milestone to better support customers with advanced logistics capabilities related to compliance, customs and international trade. The Center recently received European Union approval to receive Authorized Economic Operator (AEO-Full) status. The AEO-F status also supports StandardAero's DutchAero Services located at the Logistic Centre Woensdrecht, Netherlands.

The AEO-F certification is the highest level of security and customs regulations in the European Union. The AEO-F program is an internationally recognized quality certificate that assesses an organization's information technology, human resources, logistics, purchasing, sales, quality, finance and customs capabilities. StandardAero's AEO-F certificate was granted in June, 2015, after one year of customs auditing and project management. For military and civil MRO activities, AEO-F certification enables StandardAero to prevent lead-time interruptions and reduce shipping costs.

The AEO-F authorization will allow the company to manage bonded warehousing and outward processing to optimize the delivery of engine maintenance, repair and overhaul shipments around the world. The AEO-F provides StandardAero customers with the opportunity to utilize Tilburg as the entry point for shipments to the European Union. These certificates and customs licenses are essential for business and governmental MRO customers to ensure timely shipping and reduced logistics costs.

In addition to the AEO-F, StandardAero ESC received European Union “Known Consigner” approval by the National Border Police in October, 2014.

"Having both AEO-F certification and Known Consignor status brings us to the top tier for logistics management in the MRO industry,” said Gerard Janssen, general manager, StandardAero Netherlands. "These credentials allow StandardAero to expedite shipping and receiving both in and out of Europe to virtually any location in the world with faster delivery and reduced costs.”

StandardAero's ESC is the company's strategic footprint in the European marketplace and serves customers at a central and convenient regional location.
