Bristol Flying Centre group becomes first in Europe to gain Citation M2 type training capability

Bristol Flying Centre (BFC) group, which comprises one of the leading operators of Citation Jet aircraft, Centreline Air Charter (CAC), has become the first organisation in Europe to gain the qualifications for both type training and examinations for pilots of the Cessna Citation Jet M2.

The Bristol Airport based Aviation group, which as well as aircraft charter and management company CAC, Bristol Flying Centre FBO and Engineering, is home to an established Approved Training Organisation (ATO) authorised by the CAA and EASA to train pilots across Europe and ICAO membership states. BFC offers type ratings for the King Air B200/100/90 series and Citation Jet C525 series, of which the M2 is a derivative, and is the only Citation ATO in the UK.

BFC Flight Training is managed by three highly experienced professionals with over 25000 hours combined experience and each is a qualified type rating and instrument rating examiner. Head of training for BFC, Julian Telling said of the new capability “As one of the leading training providers in Europe for the Citation Jet it was a natural progression for us to increase our qualifications further to reflect the development of the aircraft. Not only do our aircraft management customers gain from having the most advanced training facility available but the wider community of users of these jets know that they have easy access to an essential provider”.

The BFC ATO can teach pilots onsite in Bristol or have the flexibility of travelling to train pilots within their own organisations.
