Daher showcases TBM 900 very fast turboprop aircraft and host of services at AERO 2015

Daher is showcasing the TBM 900 and highlighting the company's improved customer services at this week's AERO 2015 in Friedrichshafen during a presence in partnership with RAS GmbH, the TBM distributor for Austria and Germany.

At the annual event, which is one of Europe's major general aviation gatherings, Daher is presenting a newly-built TBM 900. This aircraft will be delivered to its customer, Herbert Baumgartner, who previously owned a TBM 850 predecessor version.

Daher's AERO 2015 exhibit also spotlights the avionics upgrade for TBM 700s and TBM 850s that were not equipped with glass cockpits. Pricing starts from $95,000 for installation of the Garmin G600 configuration that introduces glass cockpit capabilities, to a complete $190,000 package including a dual G600 retrofit, GTN 750 multi-function display and L3 ESI-2000 stand-by avionics. All of these enhancements offer reduced pilot workload and enhanced situational awareness for increased safety.

At the company's AERO 2015 press conference today, Nicolas Chabbert, the Daher airplane business unit's senior vice president, reminded the audience that AERO 2014 hosted the TBM 900's European market introduction last year, and he underscored the on-going success of this newest member in the TBM very fast turboprop family. A total of 51 TBM 900s were delivered in 2014, followed by 11 airplanes so far this year from a total of 47 orders.

“Our success is explained by the TBM 900's excellent performance-to-cost ratio, along with its environmental friendliness, which are designed-in attributes for our latest very fast turboprop aircraft,” he explained. “The success also reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction for both our current and past products. In addition to the TBM family, we continue to support the fleet of approximately 5,000 SOCATA TB and Rallye lightweight general aviation aircraft.”

After AERO 2015, the Daher airplane business unit will be bringing its TBM 900 to the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), being held May 18-21 in Geneva, Switzerland.
