FBO Riga Business Aviation Center at Riga Airport to open doors in August 2015

Flight Consulting Group, the Latvian business aviation holding company, is proceeding to the final construction stage of the new state-of-art FBO Riga Business Aviation Center at Riga International Airport. The new business aviation center will meet the highest safety and quality standards and will be one of the biggest FBO facilities in the EU and Baltics. The grand opening is set up for August 2015.

All the construction works are being carried out within the building timeline. FBO Riga's passenger terminal and a hangar have already been built; interior and exterior finishing is to be completed in the next few months.

FBO Riga Business Aviation Center consists of a state-of-art business passenger terminal (1,200 sq.m) and a heated hangar (8,400 sq.m) with offices, separate storage and workshops areas.

The hangar which has been specially designed for aircraft parking has capacity for up to five Boeing Business Jets or nine Gulfstream 550s. Flight Consulting Group is also planning to launch MRO services including aircraft cleaning at the new FBO facility.

The FBO Riga terminal will meet the highest standards of passenger handling as well as being used for international meetings, presentations and vip events. There will be six comfortable sitting areas, two fully equipped vip conference rooms, a lounge bar and a multi-brand boutique in the terminal. Concierge service and luxury transfers will also be at the passenger's disposal. The ramp and helicopter pad are located just 10 m from the terminal. A special area for crew will also be available in the terminal building.

"Flight Consulting Group is successfully operating over 15 years and has established itself as a reliable partner providing an outstanding quality of one-stop-shop solutions for business aviation. Latvia has an advantageous location for Russia, CIS and Europe, and the construction of FBO Riga Business Aviation Center is primarily motivated by the needs of our customers and a stable growth in business aviation traffic in the region. With the new FBO Riga center we will further improve the quality of passenger services as well as provide our customers with even more flexible solutions for aircraft parking and ground handling”, said Roman Starkov and Leonid Gorodnitski, the owners of Flight Consulting Group.
