Euravia adds new PT6C engine capability

Euravia's PT6A and PT6T engine production lines have been complemented with the addition of the new PT6C engine family, which incorporates cutting-edge technology. The PT6C engines deliver enhanced performance, increased reliability and superior fuel consumption, which boosts operational efficiency.

Euravia's ceo, Dennis Mendoros, said: “The PT6C is an environmentally friendly electronic controlled engine, which ensures lower emissions and higher power-to-weight ratios.” He added: “Undoubtedly, this is the next generation turboshaft engine which continues the excellent PT6T record for reliability and safety of flight. Euravia can now offer a complete PT6 package for mixed fleet operators, continuing the exceptional service offered for over a quarter of a century.”

PT6C engines are used on the AgustaWestland AW139 and AW609; Dyncorp UH-1 Global Eagle and Eurocopter EC175 helicopters.

Approved by FAA, EASA, TCCA, various OEMs and numerous national airworthiness authorities, Euravia is recognised as the PT6 (Pratt&Whitney) engine series' independently approved MRO and logistics support company, supporting more than 200 civil and defence customers in over 50 countries.
