Cannes Mandelieu airport launches new service to titillate the taste buds

Since January 21st, Cannes Mandelieu, the dedicated business aviation airport, has expanded its service offering with a new address. Airport, the platform's new restaurant, now replaces l'Ardoise Provençale. Open every day from 8.00 a.m. for breakfast service, Airport offers a menu featuring different options, as well as fast food choices for those in a rush at noon.

A total change of atmosphere: EGP Gourmet, the venue's new management, has transformed the restaurant, not just the décor but also its menu. Founded in the marine world in 1951 to provide concierge services to the 6th US fleet based on the coast, the company focused on victualing of yachts. This proved to be a winning choice: one of its first customers was Greek ship owner, Onassis. The leading provider on the Côte d'Azur in the victualling of luxury ships, EGP is perfectly familiar with high-end services. Its expertise was decisive in choosing this partner to take over the reins of the restaurant.

Entirely redesigned, Airport now offers guests a breathtaking view on the runways by removing the bay that separated the dining room from the terrace. This welcome change opens up the restaurant to the outdoors without losing its cosy, intimate character. Inside, vintage furniture recalls the cabins of the old silver planes, offering an original setting for the regional offering.

A change for the airport noticeable even in the dishes. Airport focuses on quality, home-made dishes and fresh produce. The kitchen is run by Stephane Eisop, a promising chef who learned his trade in the Oasis, Mas Candille and Martinez. His demanding and precise cuisine showcases the best of the day's market. His philosophy is "Bistronomy", the quality of gastronomic food at bistro prices, in a friendly setting. A successful combination to take guests on a culinary journey combining surf-turf and sweet-savoury harmonies, and flavours from around the world.

The menu, renewed every season, is deliberately short in order to offer only the best. Five starters, five main courses and five desserts, plus the day's special. Enough to meet the requirements of vip customers, and more. You don't need to be a passenger to enjoy its delights: Airport is open to all and intends to become one of the Côte d'Azur's must-visit venues for local gourmets. For those with less time to spare, the restaurant also has take-away offer or fast snacks served at the bar, very affordable and just as delectable.

Notice to businesses: EGP Gourmet is also considering developing a "seminar" activity or the private rental of the venue, combining the restaurant and the adjoining meeting room. The icing on the cake: free parking makes this a stress-free, convenient and easy place to visit. EGP Gourmet will also run a small gourmet deli at the restaurant entrance, thus providing a new premium service to the Cannes terminal.
