Peng Lim, who becomes our Global Head of Aviation, acts for airlines, airports, aerospace service providers and major insurance and reinsurance companies around the world, and has particular expertise in airline and aerospace liability defence work. She has over 20 years' experience in the field and has handled many of the Asia Pacific region's aircraft catastrophe losses. Peng has extensive experience advising on high-profile, complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Anita Quy advises a wide range of clients in the aviation industry, including insurers, airlines, regulators, general aviation operators, ground handlers and maintenance organisations. She has considerable dispute resolution expertise and handles contentious aviation matters in single and cross-border litigation across the Asia Pacific region, including major accident claims, third party claims and subrogation work. Anita also regularly advises on non-contentious issues, such as contractual liability, risk management and regulatory matters.

Sarah Catchpole has directed crisis management in the aftermath of major aviation accidents, including assessment of compensation levels and co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional litigation, media and public relations, repatriation efforts and liaison with government and other relevant private sector agencies. She also has significant experience managing high volume attritional, as well as complex litigious and non-litigious aviation liability claims worldwide, involving passengers, cargo, baggage and third parties. Sarah has previously lived and worked in Singapore, London and Rio de Janeiro working in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

The trio will be joined by senior associate San San Yeap, associates Hui Yain Yeo, Hermanto Moeljo and Gareth Lang, plus a team of four legal secretaries. The appointments grow our global aviation team to almost 50 legal advisers across the UK and Ireland, Brussels, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Nick Thomas, senior partner, says: "The arrival of the new aviation team, headed by Peng, significantly strengthens our global aviation capability, bringing expertise in the Asia Pacific market, as well as multi-jurisdictional experience covering Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Peng, Anita and Sarah all have experience advising on high profile aviation matters including major catastrophes and large scale litigation. Bringing them on board is an important step in the continued expansion of our international aviation and insurance businesses."

Peng Lim says: "Kennedys has a fantastic brand and culture in addition to having an excellent reputation in the insurance and reinsurance sectors. I am pleased to be joining at a time when the firm is expanding its global footprint. My colleagues and I are excited about the firm's global aviation capabilities and are very much looking forward to the opportunities ahead."

These latest hires cement Kennedys' position as one of the world's leading aviation firms following its merger with aviation and aerospace.
