France Air Expo lands at Lyon-Bron Airport

The ninth edition of the France Air Expo is to take place at Lyon-Bron Airport, running from 4th to 6th June 2015. Held at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport for eight years, France's only general aviation trade show has changed location to meet the needs of pilots and aviation sector professionals.

Event organisers hope to attract no fewer than 20,000 visitors to the 2015 France Air Expo. The runway at Lyon–Bron Airport, which extends a generous 1,820 metres, will allow a great number of aircraft to touch down, more than 1,500 over the course of the three-day event.

The trade show will bring together the big players in general aviation, which will be showcasing their latest industrial innovations from helicopters to private jets.

There will also be numerous aviation service providers at the event. In addition, following the success of last year's airshow in Cannes, an area will be dedicated to aviation training programmes, giving visitors the opportunity to find out more about the huge range of careers available in the aviation sector.

The city of Lyon was a strategic choice for the France Air Expo, as it offers two airports and a TGV train station, conveniently located just 10 minutes from Lyon–Bron Airport. Lyon can notably be reached from Paris and Marseille in just two hours by train. For those who wish to drive, most of the country's major towns and cities are just one hour and half away. It is certainly an aviation event that is not to be missed.

The third ranking business airport in France, Lyon–Bron Airport acts as a gateway to 2,000 European and transatlantic destinations. It is a dynamic platform undergoing expansion with new hangars in the pipeline. Offering a vip and pilots' lounge, swift check-ins and easy parking, Lyon–Bron Airport distinguishes itself as a true business aviation hub.
