Vision Systems to exhibit at MEBA 2014

Vision Systems will present its range of shading systems including its latest innovation in the electronically dimmable windows (EDW) range: Nuance Ultra-dark at MEBA 2014 in Dubai between 8th to 10th December 2014.
This new solution provides improved visual and thermal comfort with wider amplitude from clear to dark (99.85% blackout) and a specific composite glass offering excellent optical quality. Based on SPD technology (suspended particle device) like the other solutions of the range, Nuance Ultra-dark dims instantly and gradually from clear to dark to reduce light, glare and heat entering the aircraft.

Vision Systems' SPD solutions offer a sleek, elegant design adapted to the vip style of business aviation.
They also contribute to a reduction of air conditioning consumption as they are at their darkest possible state when the aircraft is on the ground thus maximizing heat rejection and keeping interiors cooler. These solutions also block more than 99.9% of UV light which protects the interior from fading, and there fabrication allows noise reduction to keep the cabin quieter. Furthermore, these systems have no moving parts as electronics is fully integrated, reducing maintenance costs and downtime. They can be controlled from a touch panel directly on the window or from a control panel or Personal Electronic Device such as a wireless tablet.

In this range of solar protection systems, the new version of Energia will also be unveiled. Energia is a unique green solution for solar protection, an electronically dimmable window producing its own energy from the sun thanks to transparent photovoltaic cells integrated into the glazing which allows energy storage in a battery to provide the dimmable window with electricity. The energy stored being higher than the operational needs, the prototype will include a USB socket to charge a smartphone as well as a reading light. Energia's latest version is presented as a 3.4 mm thin curved window with a photovoltaic film producing more energy than the previous prototype (20W/sqm).

Vision Systems' EDW are now available in multizone (darker from the top down like a venetian blind, from the bottom up, or by adjusting any zone at any level), in different colors and tints to tailor responses to the requirements of the customers, and also include a window or partition solution for complete privacy (clear to opaque white). These systems can be combined with motorized roller or pleated shades to bring a warmer design in the cabin, that will be presented at the show.

Vision Systems will also exhibit its cutting-edge IFE system, Visi VIP, a scalable and customizable solution dedicated to business jets with various vip options to enhance passenger satisfaction and comfort. Different configurations are possible with one single box and multiple screens: motorized displays up to 65", wireless personal tablets, screens with full HD. The connectivity option provides internet access, email, video conferencing, and personal smartphone usage over VoIP with guaranteed voice quality (through Satcom 1 receiver). It offers the passenger the possibility to stay connected all the way from the office to the arrival terminal. Other options include a switch on the flight attendant panel from the IFE media center to a Blu-Ray player connected to the box.
