Air Charter Service appoints new global head of private jet division

Leading aircraft charter broker, Air Charter Service, has promoted Andy Christie from president of its North American offices to global head of the private jet division, based in the company's London headquarters.

Christie, who has been with ACS for more than 10 years, will have responsibility for the continued growth of all eighteen private jet departments in the company's worldwide offices which accounts for around £100 million [US$160 million] worth of charter sales currently. His ACS career started in the London office in 2004 before moving to New York in 2008, where he took up the role of department director for the office before taking responsibility for all of ACS's four North American operations.

Chris Leach, ACS chairman and founder, commented: “Andy's continued commitment and hard work over the past decade has made him an integral part of ACS – he has a proven track record, having more than doubled the size of our North American operation, and we are sure he is the perfect fit for this role. I know that he is raring to get going and stamp his mark on our executive jets division going forward.”

Christie starts his new role at the beginning of November.
