Textron Aviation to open expanded Paris service center to serve Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker customers

Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. company, today announced it will open a larger, state-of-the-art service center at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, making maintenance and modification work even more convenient for Europe's Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker owners.

The new facility will include more than 156,000 square feet of customer, office and maintenance space, about three times the size of the equivalent facilities in Textron Aviation's current Paris Citation service center at Le Bourget. The service bay in the new center will be more than 42,000 square feet, twice the space of the existing service bay. The new location at Le Bourget will offer direct access to parking and customer areas without the need to drive through airport gates, as well as larger, improved accommodation for customers.

“Our global service network remains a key factor when Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker customers select us as their business aviation partner, and we continue to focus resources in the network to keep this commitment strong,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president, customer service. “Our original Paris facility has been our European flagship for some time, and the new, expanded space at Europe's busiest business aviation airport will allow us to more quickly meet the service requirements of our customers coming in from across the region.”

Textron Aviation opened its first service center outside the U.S. in Paris at Le Bourget in 1997. Its present location at the airport has prevented expansion to meet the demands of the constantly growing European fleet of Textron Aviation's family of aircraft, prompting the company to lease the new facility. Textron Aviation will transition over to the new facility in the coming weeks and begin full operations in November.

“Our investment in our service network continues to set the standard for our industry around the world, and particularly in Europe,” Thress said. “We started in Paris, and the time is perfect to begin a new chapter in Textron Aviation's history at Le Bourget.”

The new center is one of six company-owned Textron Aviation service centers in Europe and one of 21 company-owned centers globally. The Paris facility also offers a mobile service offering allowing customers to receive service at their jet's location. Field support is available through Citation's AOG Go Teams, HomeService, and temporary personnel support. All six Textron Aviation European service centers hold European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification as a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).
