RUAG Aviation to market Jetcraft HUD Vision Access for Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605

RUAG Aviation has signed a dealership agreement with Jetcraft Corporation to market HUD Vision Access for the Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605.

Under this agreement, RUAG Aviation will be responsible for the sale and installation of the enhanced flight vision system, consisting of various components including a head-up display (HUD) and infrared sensor.

The advanced HUD Vision Access affords significant advantages to owners, operators and pilots of the Challenger 604 and 605. By enabling operations in low visibility conditions, the system enables aircraft to taxi, take-off and land under all conditions – improving safety and saving time. Furthermore, pilots with HUD Vision Access are able to descend below decision height at most airports, minimising ground-based infrastructure requirements and enabling access to a greater number of airports.

“RUAG Aviation has been selected for their extensive experience and proven capability in modifying Bombardier Challenger aircraft,” says Chad Anderson, president of Jetcraft Corporation. “From its business aviation location in Munich-Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, RUAG Aviation is optimally positioned to serve customers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.”

Owners and operators of Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605 aircraft stand to benefit substantially from this development, according to Tobias Laps, head of sales, marketing and business development at RUAG Aviation. He explains: “This upgrade expands the capabilities of our customers' aircraft, increases situational awareness and safety and improves its value. Customers concerned about downtime can take advantage of our comprehensive portfolio of one-stop-shop solutions, and combine this modification with their regular scheduled maintenance, or even a new paint job or interior overhaul.”
