Jet Aviation Singapore has announced that it is operating from its new 7,500-square-meter hangar facility at Seletar Aerospace Park. The company hosted a grand opening celebration on site at the new hangar facility on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

Following a year of construction under a design-build contract with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI), Jet Aviation Singapore hosted an official ribbon-cutting ceremony over the weekend to celebrate operation of its new USD$25 million state-of-the-art hangar facility at Seletar Aerospace Park.

With a band, acrobatic performers and lion dancers on hand to bring luck and prosperity to the new facilities, the grand opening was attended by over 150 people, including guest of honor Mr. Heah Soon Poh, assistant chief executive officer of Singapore's JTC Corporation (JTC); Mr. Tan Kong Hwee, deputy director, transport engineering, Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore; Rob Smith, president, Jet Aviation; Gary Dolski, vice president and general manager, Jet Aviation Singapore; and OEM representatives, staff and customers, and members of the press.

The new 5,000 square-meter hangar, erected adjacent to the company's existing 2,700 square-meter hangar, was built in direct response to growing demand for large, long-range business jets in the region. Now able to accommodate aircraft such as the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ), the hangar permits up to five Gulfstream G650 or five Bombardier Global Express 7000 aircraft. Its apron has direct access to the tarmac and has also been expanded by 9,300 square meters.

Mr Heah Soon Poh, assistant chief executive officer of JTC, said, “We congratulate Jet Aviation on the successful expansion of its facility. With a strong vision to leverage Singapore as the center for its business expansion in this region, we believe that Jet Aviation's presence will further augment the synergies within the integrated aerospace cluster at Seletar Aerospace Park.”

Jet Aviation Singapore provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect troubleshooting and rectifications and aircraft modifications. In addition, the company offers interior refurbishment, avionics modification and exterior painting services. Jet Aviation Singapore holds repair station approvals from various countries, including FAA #J8MY465N and EASA #145.0461. It is a Factory Authorized Service Center and Warranty Repair Facility for the Gulfstream series, an Authorized Service Center for the Nextant 400XT aircraft and a Boeing BBJ line maintenance station. It further supports Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604/605 series, Bombardier Global Express and XRS, Global 5000, 6000, and Bombardier Learjet 30/35/40/45/50/60 series aircraft. Located at Seletar Airport, the company also offers FBO services in Singapore at Seletar and Changi International airports.
