Following the signing of an agreement between the Dubai-based offices of international trip planning company Skyplan Services and China-based Oriental Sky Aviation, (OSA), at the Dubai Air Show in November 2013, the new partners this week made their debut at the Asian Business Aviation Conference and Expo, ABACE 2014, taking place in Shanghai. 

This is the first time that the two companies have jointly exhibited at a dedicated aviation event. The move reflects the strength of the developing partnership which sees Skyplan offering its international clients ground support services through OSA in China, and Oriental Sky Aviation's clients maximising the Skyplan offering worldwide.

The agreement, which positions OSA as a general sales and service agent (GSSA) operation on behalf of Skyplan in China, ensures Skyplan customers' flights operating into one of its ten bases in China benefit from the full range of trip planning and on the ground support services provided by the Chinese company. With bases in Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Santa, Urumqi and Shenzhen, Skyplan's customers are assured of a seamless experience from arrival to departure with OSA offering full ground support in addition to the benefits of trip planning services including slot coordination, permit provision and crew briefings. Complementing the existing services Skyplan has recently launched Aurora, a fully integrated web-based flight planning system. The full range of Oriental Sky Aviation's ground support services also includes contract dispatch, ground handling supervision, fueling, catering, customs clearance and a range of visa provision and travel coordination services.

The recent agreement builds on a decade of operational collaboration.
