Jet Aviation Singapore in final stages of gaining required authorizations for operation

Jet Aviation Singapore has commenced moving into its new 7,500 square meter hangar and is working with authorities to secure all required approvals. The company plans a grand opening on May 31, 2014.

Jet Aviation Singapore plans to complete the move into its new USD$25 million state-of-the-art hangar facility at the end of April 2014, after which it will be inspected by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Additional inspections are scheduled in the first half of May with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S.

“We are very excited to complete the move and start serving our business aviation customers from our new state-of-the-art hangar,” said Gary Dolski, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “Our highest priority is the safety and security of our customers — and everything about this new facility is cutting- edge. This investment really underscores our commitment to meeting our customers' requirements to the highest business aviation standards.”

The expansion project was undertaken in direct response to growing demand for large, long-range business jets in the region. With an arched roof reaching 24 meters at its highest point, the new hangar will better accommodate aircraft such as the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) and permit up to five Gulfstream G650 or five Bombardier Global Express 7000 aircraft. Its apron has direct access to the tarmac and has also been expanded by 9,300 square meters.

The new hangar facilities will be unveiled at a grand opening celebration on May 31, 2014.

Jet Aviation is exhibiting at ABACE from April 15 through April 17, 2014. Please visit the Jet Aviation booth (#P328).
