JetSupport gains access to 8000 m2 aircraft parking hangar at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

While facing a continuous struggle for indoor parking space for business jets at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, JetSupport has gained access to an additional 8000 sqm indoor aircraft parking hangar, to its existing 4500 sqm maintenance facilities.

The former maintenance hangar of Martinair (known as hangar 32) has become available due to internal reorganizations of the cargo airliner's maintenance department. JetSupport now gains access and control of the two MD-11 maintenance bays for aircraft indoor parking at the congested GA section of Schiphol Airport.

The increasing demand for aircraft indoor parking at Schiphol, was recognized in an early stage by JetSupport, and many alternatives for increasing parking space were considered. The extra hangar space allows JetSupport to easily accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 747. JetSupport intends to use the additional hangar space solely to park aircraft in order to make use of the MRO's maintenance hangar more efficiently. JetSupport offers technical support for business aviation operators, and having its main service center based at Amsterdam, the additional parking space relieves its service center hangar of parked aircraft which disturbs its optimized maintenance processes.

The additional hangar space to JetSupport's operation is added value to the one-stop-shop concept for business aviation operators JetSupport and KLM Jetcenter aim to offer at Amsterdam. By the strategic partnership with KLM Jetcenter, the FBO, both companies have strengthened their full scope of services business aviation operators expect at an airport like Amsterdam Schiphol. Through this partnership JetSupport is able to offer not only hangarage at Amsterdam but also at Rotterdam The Hague Airport for its clients.

KLM Jet Center has been the FBO for corporate and private aviation since 1985, offering red carpet treatment for a wide variety of clients while JetSupport, founded in 2001, is a specialized MRO providing a wide range of key technical business aviation services. Together, KLM Jet Center and JetSupport offer a synergy of operations – a one-stop shop so that all business aviation requirements can be met.
