Southampton, UK based Xclusive Jet Charter planning for expansion

Established in 2002, Xclusive Jet Charter, based at Southampton Airport UK, is confident it has ridden the stormy weather of 2008-2012, where the business aviation industry suffered badly, and sees 2013 as starting brightly.

With two new staff into operations and continuing airworthiness having been recruited since turn of the year, 22nd April welcomed the latest enhancement, Andrew Wood as the new operations manager.

After 10 years at Gama Aviation, the challenge Andrew has accepted is to take Xclusive Jet to the next stage, being responsible for the safe oversight of the British registered AOC fleet together with the privately operated large business jet fleet, on the registers of Bermuda and Isle of Man.

Returning to the charter roster for 2013 is the Citation G-CGOA after a period of quiet and Hawker 800XP G-MAXP sporting a new paint scheme and interior.

Both aircraft are currently based in Southampton, with plans to grow the strong link as a charter operator in the South of France as the season opens.

With further new announcements due on AOC fleet expansion in the next few weeks, the existing AOC region that has served well, is being extended to a worldwide AOC.

This growth gives an a 'flavour' to an announcement due soon on the level and size of aeroplanes that Xclusive Jet will be adding to its stable.

So, with a new website in development for release shortly, a worldwide AOC on its way, an increase to Part M approvals and the expansion of its CAMO activity in works, new types joining the AOC fleet and preparations advanced with full UK CAA support for the award in October 2014 of the new style EASA AOC, it feels the right time to be shouting.

The AOC (GB2220) is and has been the cornerstone of the XJC business since start up in 2002 .

Steve Loveridge, managing director confirmed "I am already seeing 2013 start well in some sectors. Now the spring has arrived, we all feel better. Requests for charter are returning. The percentage return is finally making sense. With our privately operated fleet of large business jets maintaining an uninterrupted flow of flying and the development of the CAMO, we needed charter to return. There is still some way to go, but in general confidence is higher and rates are returning to something more palatable to owners and us as the operator.

"With the internal projects happening at a pace and the industry project for the EASA transition in hand, as a brand, Xclusive Jet (XJC) has come through the worst of times, stronger and fitter and now in an expansive mood. I hope that the good news is not another false-start. I dont think it is, I believe we are on the up.....we look forward to EBACE as an indicator."
