Hawker Pacific sells Bell 429 To NZ operator

Hawker Pacific, Asia Pacific's leading aircraft sales, services and product support company, has sold a brand new Bell 429 Helicopter to a commercial operator in New Zealand. The aircraft will join an existing rotary fleet for business and VIP transport, and will be fitted out with airconditioning and corporate interior for delivery next year.

According to Tony Jones, Hawker Pacific's Senior Vice President, Aircraft Sales Group, the 2013 rotary market is looking promising as interest continues to grow, particularly in light twin-engine aircraft, to meet the incoming Part 133 and Part 138 regulations.

"We are extremely pleased to announce our latest Bell 429 sale at the 2013 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition at Avalon. This deal reflects the resurgence in enquiries we are seeing not only for new aircraft but also in pre-owned aircraft, across our region," Tony Jones said.

"Our customers expect long-term investment in their purchases, and we are 100% committed to delivering aircraft that encompass longevity, reliability, as well as remaining 'top-of-the-line' status. The Bell 429 Helicopter is the world's newest and most advanced aircraft in its class. It has been designed, built and certified to the most stringent airworthiness standard and we're expecting to see bolstered sales in the coming years."

The Bell 429 Helicopter delivers 155kt speed with a state-of-the-art cockpit featuring single pilot IFR and WAAS precision approach capabilities. Its cabin is exceptionally spacious with seating for up to eight passengers and can be reconfigured for any number of different missions. As the first helicopter to be certified under the MSG3 maintenance program, the aircraft also has the lowest direct operating costs in its class.

Currently there are six Bell 429 Helicopters in service in Australia and New Zealand, and Hawker Pacific is looking forward to further initiatives and announcements in the rotary sector at the 2013 Heli-Expo in Las Vegas from 4-7 March 2013.
