Bombardier to highlight Global 6000 jet at Avalon 2013

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it will highlight its class-leading Global 6000 business jet at the 2013 Avalon airshow in Melbourne, Australia from February 26 to March 3, 2013.

"The Australian market fully understands the advantage that a business aircraft offers," explained Nilesh Pattanayak, regional vice president, sales, Asia Pacific, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Bombardier is the market leader in Australia with a 39 per cent market share, and our Global aircraft family leads the large cabin and long-range segment with a 58 per cent market share. In addition, while long-range aircraft have traditionally been favoured, there is an ever increasing interest in light and medium jets such as our Learjet and Challenger aircraft families."

"2012 was a strong year for Bombardier, as we captured 65 per cent of new business aircraft orders worldwide," added Mr. Pattanayak. "We have been seeing tremendous momentum with our Global jet family, and we look forward to showcasing to customers just why these aircraft are the clear leaders in their segments."

The Global 6000 jet's unrivalled cabin size and level of comfort combined with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck means no other purpose built business jet comes close in terms of high-speed range capability and traveller comfort. Offering the ultimate in technology, this intrepid jet can link Melbourne with Beijing or Honolulu, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew.
