Hawker Pacific announces Avalon 2013 line-up

Hawker Pacific, Asia Pacific's leading aircraft sales, services and product support company, is pleased to announce its presence at the 2013 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition at Avalon Airport Geelong: 26 February – 3 March, 2013. The company intends to use the Airshow to build on what it is anticipating to be a promising year for the business aviation service sector in Australasia and Asia.

Hawker Pacific will be located in Exhibition Hall 1, stand 1L9, and will be showcasing three exceptional aircraft on the static display: Diamond DA40-XLS, Bell 429 Helicopter and a Beechcraft King Air 350i. There will also be the latest Precision Flight Controls - DCX MAX ProMotion model flight simulator available on display and demonstration that offers a complete training system for both new and advanced pilots.

According to Doug Park, Chief Operating Officer for the Pacific Region, Hawker Pacific is not sitting still, but instead focussing on continual improvement and consolidation of its existing operations, whilst being on the lookout for appropriate growth opportunities in 2013, especially in the Special Mission sector.

"Last year was a great year for Hawker Pacific, a highlight being our success in winning a performance-based contract to lease and provide ongoing support for four King Air B200 aircraft for the RNZAF." Mr Park said.

"In 2012 our (combined) Australian Avionics and Hawker Pacific civil maintenance support base in Cairns, North Queensland, achieved an industry milestone with the employment of its 50th aircraft trade apprentice since opening new facilities eight years ago. We're proud to be able to give something back to the broader industry and we are very confident that the year ahead will be just as exciting."

"Another notable achievement which demonstrates the diversity of Hawker Pacific's operations across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, was the launch of an integrated software system that links our extensive FBOs into one real-time network. This is a significant step to further improve the Company's service delivery and expanding overall aircraft management capabilities," Mr Park concluded.

Tony Jones, Chief Operating Officer for Asia, said: "We continue to grow our operations in Asia with the opening of our new full service business aircraft facility in Singapore earlier in the year. The Company has also just concluded another very successful year in the Middle East where our integrated Bell Helicopter sales and support organisation has achieved significant helicopter sales and has also recently extended the local support capabilities to include avionics, rotor blades and hydraulic components."

Alan Smith, Hawker Pacific Group Chief Executive Officer said: "Hawker Pacific has been a long- standing participant at the Avalon Airshow; it is an important event for us. While we are seeing some very exciting growth in our businesses across Asia and the UAE, we also remain incredibly encouraged by what is happening in the Pacific region; the market is active and so too is the demand for our services in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea."

"Avalon provides an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our expertise as a full-service aviation company, and visitors will find many of the capabilities that make us the partner of choice in providing aerospace solutions. We encourage guests to visit us at the Hawker Pacific stand, meet our experienced team and see for themselves what we have to offer."
