Bombardier Aerospace touches down at AIREX 2012

Bombardier Aerospace, the world's third largest civil aircraft manufacturer, will present three of its business jets at the ninth annual International Civil Aviation and Airports Exhibition, AIREX 2012, in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 6–9, 2012. The company will also showcase its innovative commercial aircraft products at its booth in Exhibit Hall 1.

Highlights for the static display will be the Learjet 60 XR, Challenger 605 and Global 6000 jets. The industry leading Bombardier Vision flight deck will be on full display aboard the Global 6000 aircraft.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft offers three distinct families of turboprop and jet airliners, each optimized for the markets they serve. These include the Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner that combines jet-like performance with much lower operating costs; the CRJ NextGen regional jets ? the world's most successful family of regional aircraft; and the all-new, state-of-the-art CSeries mainline jetliners that will provide widebody passenger comfort in single-aisle aircraft for the 100- to 149-seat market segment.

Bombardier Market Forecast for the region

Bombardier Business Aircraft forecasts worldwide deliveries of 24,000 aircraft for the segments for which it competes* valued at $648 billion over the 20-year period from 2012 to 2031. According to the company's business aircraft market forecast, Turkey and the Middle East are expected to take delivery of 1,185 business jets during the forecast period. Deliveries for the ten-year period from 2012 to 2021 are expected to amount to 410 business aircraft, while the ten years stretching from 2022 to 2031 will see an additional 775 new business aircraft deliveries. The Bombardier Commercial Aircraft Market Forecast anticipates the worldwide delivery of 12,800 new 20- to 149-seat aircraft in the 2012 – 2031 period including deliveries of 970 units in Africa and the Middle East and 2,240 units in Europe.

Aircraft on static display

Learjet 60 XR aircraft:A proven model that combines performance, comfort, value and technology to a new level in the midsize category, the Learjet 60 XR aircraft delivers a high cruise speed of Mach 0.81 (863 km/hr) with superior climb capabilities, proven fuel efficiency and low direct operating costs. This jet can rapidly fly its passengers above the traffic and make use of the more favourable winds up at 51,000 ft (15,545 m), which translates into time savings as a result of less traffic and turbulence. When loaded with four passengers and two crew it will fly 2,405nm (4,454 km) and is able to fly from Istanbul to Karachi.

Challenger 605 aircraft: The revered Challenger 605 jet builds upon the legacy of productivity, quality and reliability of its predecessor, the Challenger 604 jet, leading its market share segment throughout the world. Featuring one of the widest stand-up cabins of any large category business jet available today, it can soar six passengers 4,000 nm (7,408 km), can connect Istanbul with Dakar, and can also fly from Istanbul to Chengdu.

Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 jet's unrivalled cabin size and levels of comfort combined with a stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision flight deck means no other purpose-built business jet comes close in terms of high-speed range capability and traveller comfort. Offering the ultimate in technology, this intrepid jet can link Istanbul with Chicago and Istanbul to Singapore, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew.
