Jet Aviation Dusseldorf receives approval from Williams International for on-wing hot section inspections

Jet Aviation Dusseldorf has received authorization from Williams International to perform on-wing Hot Section Inspections (HSI).

Hot Section Inspections (HSI) involve thorough examination of the combustion area of the engine, which is located in the aft section of the aircraft. As they typically require engine removal, the ability to conduct on-wing HSI reduces operator downtime, thereby saving money through increased aircraft utilization. With this approval, Jet Aviation Dusseldorf is authorized to perform on-wing HSI on Williams International FJ44-1A / -1AP / -2A / -2C and -3A engines.

"We are always looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction," says Sebastian Groeger, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Dusseldorf. "Williams' approval demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers the most benefit while upholding the highest safety standards."

FJ44 engines have a modular design which makes it possible to service two engines on-wing in as little time as two 8-hour shifts.
