Dassault Falcon Jet recently completed the first installation of a new cabin management and high definition (HD) entertainment system designed by Rockwell Collins for the Falcon 7X and Falcon 900. The system, which Dassault will market as FalconCabin HD+, brings industry-leading capabilities to these aircraft cabins, including audio video on demand (AVOD) and an interactive 3D moving map solution.

"FalconCabin HD+, a new custom cabin solution derived from our proven Venue™ cabin management system, takes the passenger experience to a new level through our family of intuitive touch-screen monitors and media equipment that deliver crisp, reliable HD content," said Dave Austin, vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Additionally, the system's flexibility will allow for seamless adaption to changes in future technology and support for passenger carry-on devices."

The feature-rich FalconCabin HD+ system utilizes a state-of-the-art fiber optic network to distribute data throughout the cabin. System highlights include:

• An AVOD solution that allows content to be loaded and viewed simultaneously or at individual paces on multiple displays in the cabin.

• An interactive moving map solution featuring Rockwell Collins' Airshow® 3D Moving Map.

• A sophisticated command and control system for managing all of the cabin's environmental subsystems.

• Color touch-screen programmable switch panels to easily control cabin features and entertainment content.

Initial deliveries of new Falcon 7X and Falcon 900LX aircraft equipped with the new FalconCabin HD+ are expected later this year.
